Rose Idibia, the mother of veteran Nigerian singer Innocent “2face” Idibia, has publicly pleaded with Edo lawmaker, Natasha Osawuru, to leave her son alone.
In a viral video posted on Thursday evening, 2face mother begs Natasha Osawuru, claiming that her son is not in the right frame of mind due to his ongoing divorce from his estranged wife, Annie Idibia.
Mother’s Emotional Appeal
Speaking directly to Osawuru, Mrs. Idibia said:
“Good evening, Nigerians. My name is Mrs. Rose Idibia, the mother of 2face. This message is for Miss Natasha Osawaru of Edo State. I’m calling on all mothers in Nigeria to help me beg her to free my son. My son is going through a divorce process, and he is clearly not in his right senses now. I know my son well. That is not him.”
She also accused the lawmaker of using charms, urging her to remove the beads on 2face’s hand and neck and let him go.
2face and Natasha Osawaru’s Relationship
The plea follows a viral video on Thursday showing 2face proposing to Natasha Osawaru while dancing at a gathering. The singer presented her with a ring before they shared a long embrace.
This comes just a day after 2face publicly confirmed his romantic relationship with Osawaru, fueling widespread reactions on social media.
Addressing the controversy in an Instagram video on Tuesday, 2face defended his new relationship, saying:
“I have seen so many people coming up with false narratives and malicious nonsense after I posted what I posted. Yes, I posted what I posted. She (Osawaru) is a young, brilliant, amazing woman, and she had nothing to do with what is happening between me and Annie in our marriage. Yes, I love her. She is amazing, and she is cool. I want to marry her.”
Who Is Natasha Osawaru?
Natasha Osawaru is a politician and a member of the Edo State House of Assembly, representing the Egor Constituency under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
She was elected in April 2023 and hails from Egor Local Government Area in Edo State.
