Dr. Folashade Arike Ayoade, the Secretary to the Kogi State Government, is truly a remarkable individual. This dynamic lady epitomises grace and strength, standing as a beacon of hope and dedication.
Undoubtedly, her commendable service spanning two terms under former Governor Yahaya Bello, unwavering loyalty, deep understanding of governance structures, and exceptional commitment, led to her reappointment as the Secretary to the Government of Kogi State under Governor Usman Ododo. In this role, she continues to leverage her extensive knowledge and expertise to ensure the government operates at its highest capacity while at the same time diligently fulfilling her responsibilities.
Beyond her governmental duties, Ayoade is a passionate advocate of women’s development. Through her foundation, the Folashade Ayoade Initiative for Widows & Orphans (FAIWO), she has utilised her God-given resources to empower women in Kogi State, making a significant impact on the lives of many. Her commitment to uplifting the underprivileged showcases her desire to create a more equitable society.
On Wednesday August 27, Ayoade clocked the landmark age of 60. In celebrating the milestone, Ayoade embarked on a series of impactful events, including the donation of a new church building, with its foundation laid at the Koto-Karfe Correctional Centre. Following this, Ayoade visited the Rehoboth Orphanage Home in Lokongoma, Lokoja, where she celebrated with the children and donated essential items. She later inaugurated the FAIWO Orphanage Home building, a dream realised through her tireless efforts and compassion for the vulnerable.
Her 60th birthday celebrations will culminate in a heartfelt Thanksgiving Service on Sunday August 31, at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, City of Grace Parish in Lokoja, to reflect her gratitude for the blessings she has received and her commitment to continue her philanthropic work.
