LG mayor commends Mbah’s security initiatives

…Hands over patrol vehicles to security team

The Executive Chairman of Igbo-Eze North LGA, Enugu State, Hon. Michael Uche Ogalla has commended the various innovative approaches to security, which Governor Peter Mbah has deployed in securing the state against criminal elements.

Mayor Ogalla who spoke at the local government headquarters in Ogrute Enugu- Ezike during the weekend while handing over a Hilux van to the Neighbourhood Watch Strike-Force Team in the area, said the aim is to aid them in the discharge of their duties in line with the mandate of the governor towards securing the state.

He said that his administration would continue to drive development and transformation at the grassroots in alignment with the visionary leadership of the governor.

The Commander of the Strike-Force Team, Mr Godwin Ali, who received the vehicle on behalf of the team, applauded the Council chairman for the gesture and assured the Mayor that the vehicle would enable them to re-double their efforts in the fight against insecurity.

“Igbo-Eze North LGA is now very peaceful because of the support you give to security operatives, and we appreciate you,” Godwin said.

In a similar development, Mayor Ogalla also handed over the keys of a Hi-Jet minibus to the Revenue Committee of the Local Government Area.

Comrade Fidelis Mama, who received the vehicle on behalf of the committee, expressed gratitude to the Council chairman for making their work easier and for the visible transformation taking place across the local government.
