WAFCON: Ajibade bags MVP, Nnadozie wins Best Goalkeeper [Full list]

The individual awards at the just-concluded 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) were dominated by Nigeria’s Super Falcons following their impressive comeback against hosts Morocco to win the title.

The Super Falcons were two goals down by half-time, but turned things around by beating Morocco 3-2 in Rabat, marking their tenth WAFCON title.

Thanks to the win, the team Captain, Rasheedat Ajibade, who won three Woman of the Match awards, was named as the Player of the Tournament.

Chiamaka Nnadozie was voted the Goalkeeper of the Tournament, while Morocco’s Ghizlane Chebbak secured the Golden Boot after netting five times in the tournament.

Super Falcons coach Justin Madugu, who was appointed on an interim basis, was awarded the Coach of the Tournament prize for guiding the 2018 WAFCON winners to the trophy.
