Dr Wole Oluyede, a governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2026 election in Ekiti State, has congratulated the Ogoga of Ikere-Ekiti, HRM, Oba Samuel Adejimi Adu Alagbado, on his emergence as the Chairman, Ekiti State Council of Traditional Rulers.

Oba Adu Alagbado succeeded the outgone Chairman of the Council and Olojudo of Ido-Ekiti, HRM, Oba Ayorinde Ilori-Faboro.
Oba Ilori-Faboro, whose two-year tenure expired on 31st July, 2025, was appointed by the state Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, on 31st July, 2023.
Oluyede, a native of Ikere-Ekiti, said the appointment was.timely as it coincided with the ten years anniversary celebration of the Ogoga on the throne.
Oluyede, in a congratulatory message by his Spokesperson, Gani Salau, on Friday, commended the state government for appointng the prominent traditional ruler, describing it as well-deserving.
” I, Wole Oluyede, received the news of the appointment of the Ogoga of Ikere- Ekiti, HRM, Oba Samuel Adejimi Adu Alagbado, Agirilala ll, as the Chairman, Ekiti State Council of Traditional Rulers with joy and excitement.
“As one of the illustrious sons of Ikere- Ekiti, I congratulate the Ogoga on his appointment as the Chairman of the Council.
” I equally felicitate Oba Adejimi Adu Alagbado on his ten years on the throne of his forefathers which also makes his appointment worthy to the people of Ikere-Ekiti.
” It is an appointment that actually gives joy to the entire people of Ikere-Ekiti as it comes during the celebration of Kabiyesi’s ten years anniversary on the throne.
” I commend the government of Ekiti State for finding Ogoga worthy to be the Chairman of Ekiti State Council of Traditional Rulers.
” I am confident that Kabiyesi’s tenure as Chairman will sustain the existing peace, tranquility and transformational development not only in Ikere-Ekiti but in the entire Ekiti State.”
The governorship aspirant prays for God’s guidance, and more wisdom as the monarch discharges his duties in his new assignment and also wish him more peaceful and fruitful reign on the throne.
