WAFCON: We are stronger than Zambia – Super Falcons defender, Demehin

By Seyi Babalola

Super Falcons defender Oluwatosin Demehin believes the nine-time winners are stronger than Zambia.

Nigeria and Zambia will meet in a quarterfinal match at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations on Friday.

The game will take place at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca. It will start at 5 p.m. Nigerian time.

The Copper Queens have impressed with their fluid attacking play in Morocco.

Their attacking pair, Barbara Banda, and Rachel Kundananji have also terrorised opposing defenders with ease.

The duo have scored three goals each in the competition.

Despite their high rating, Demehin is adamant the Super Falcons are the better side.

“Zambia is not a tough team compared to the Super Falcons. We are yet to concede a single goal after playing three matches, but they have conceded four goals,” the Galatasaray centre-back told Brila FM.
