A Strategic $700,000 Solar Investment
The Economic Community of West African States partnered with Nigeria through the Rural Electrification Agency to deliver this project.
Under the agreement, a $700,000 grant will fund the installation of solar photovoltaic systems in 15 public institutions, including schools and primary healthcare centres. 
These facilities are located across the Federal Capital Territory, Niger State, and Nasarawa State. 
Furthermore, this marks Nigeria’s pilot phase under the Regional Off Grid Electricity Access Project, a regional initiative supported by the World Bank to expand energy access across West Africa.
